New - Key Stage 2 Comprehension
Key Stage 2 Comprehension comprises four activity books providing more than 72 texts in total. Each of the activity books includes a simple marking scheme, which enables you to give a percentage score for the completed book. The books also provide you with a permanent record of work for every child.
Key Stage 2 Comprehension encourages children to:
- pay attention to literal meaning
- make inferences and deductions
- observe how writing is structured
- identify literary devices.
The Teacher's Guide contains answers to all the comprehension questions and gives you all you need to use each of the texts to its full potential. Full teaching notes are included, together with an indication of the national curriculum level. The levels given relate to the texts only - not to the questions, which may be adminstered with varying degrees of support for the purposes of differentiation. Cross-curricular content charts make Key Stage 2 Comprehension easy to dovetail with other work, and photocopiable Group record sheets help you to monitor progress.
