The motto of Schofield & Sims' 11+ books is 'Prepare to pass'. I can't see how any student or parent who takes this book as their trusty companion could fail to prepare well for these exams. While passing the 11+ requires an inner drive and spark of intelligence that no book could ever provide, I have not found in my years of tutoring the 11+ a literary sidekick with more resources, explanation, detail or clarity. Charlotte's ability to put herself in the shoes of a Year 5 or 6 student daunted by the seemingly endless stream of grammar points, devilish spellings and literary techniques is unparalleled, and makes this guide a powerful and totally unmissable resource for any student (not just those taking the 11+).
