There is no VAT charged on school books in the UK. 

Schofield & Sims demonstrates its ongoing support to schools by supplying them with resources at reduced prices. These prices are clearly marked on the website and in the catalogue and fall into two categories:

• Class set price – for teachers ordering 10 or more copies of the same title (excludes Teacher’s Handbooks, Answer Books and Posters).
• Teacher's price – for teachers ordering fewer than 10 copies of the same title. 

Some of our books are available in digital formats, but we believe printed resources offer the most effective foundation for young learners. Research consistently shows that handwriting supports learning better than typing. The physical act of writing by hand engages motor skills, visual processing and memory simultaneously, helping children retain and recall information more effectively. This multi-sensory approach has been shown to improve letter recognition in early readers and deepen conceptual understanding across all age groups.

Schools have the option of shopping as guests or with an account. Paying by invoice or credit/debit card is an option for both methods in the checkout.
